Retain deactivated backup archives for

Once a computer becomes inactive it's backup archives are scheduled for deletion. A setting of 30 means the backup archive will be removed 30 days after deactivation.

There are 3 ways a computer may become inactive:

  • An administrator deactivates an org - this will result in all users and their computers becoming inactive
  • An administrator deactivates a user - this will result in all their computers being marked as inactive
  • An administrator deactivates a specific computer - the archive will be marked inactive

LDAP directories may automate the task of deactivation by the administrator

  • Note: You may manually remove an archive at any time from a mount point to remove it.
  • Note: Deselecting a backup destination immediately removes the backup archive.

Network Address

Use the Network Addresses to specify the primary and secondary network addresses that clients and/or other servers use to connect to this server.

If no address is specified, clients and/or other servers will use the address(es) that they have on record.

NOTE: Take care setting network addresses. Specifying invalid network addresses causes clients and/or servers to disconnect and fail to reconnect.
