Destinations

Use the Destinations tab to view and manage your CrashPlan PRO destinations.

Overview

The Overview page provides quick access to the different kinds destinations you can have in CrashPlan, including computers, folders and online service providers. When you click a destination on the Backup tab, CrashPlan PRO displays the tab that corresponds to the type of destination you clicked.

Click an icon or page tab to view and manage that type of destination.

Click this To
View computers to which you can back up, add new computers as backup destinations and start backups to specific computers.
View folders to which you can back up, attach new folders as backup destinations and start backups to specific folders.
View 3rd-party providers (including a destination in the CrashPlan Data Center) to which you can back up, add new online providers as backup destinations and start backups to specific providers.

Computer Destinations

Item Description
aComputers list List of computers running CrashPlan under this account. You can back up to these computers.
bSelected computer Click a computer to view destination details.
cNameName of the backup destination. You can change the name of the destination to something that is easier for you to recognize.
dDeactivate Computer Completely removes this computer from your account. Backup data is deleted.
eLast backup Time since last backup to this destination.
fSpace quota Amount of space allocated for your backup archive on this computer. Automatic means that there are no space restrictions.
gSpace used Amount of space your archive has used on this computer.
hCompact Reclaims space in the back up archive by immediately applying file selection or retention policy changes (such as how many versions to keep and how long to keep deleted files). Click the Compact button when you want to reclaim space sooner than specified with the “Maintain archives…” setting.
iConnection status How long this computer has been connected. If the attempt failed, the Retry button appears.
jRemove Backup Destination Discontinue using this friend's computer as a backup destination.
WARNING: After you click this button and click Save, the backup archives on this destination will be removed.
kUndo Changes Click to set the features back to previous settings (same effect as cancel).
lSave Click to apply changes.

Online Destinations

Item Description
aOnline ServicesList of online providers you're backing up to.
bLast backupTime since last backup to this destination.
cSpace quotaAmount of space allocated for your backup archive on this computer. Automatic means that there are no space restrictions.
dSpace usedAmount of space your archive has used on this computer.
eCompactReclaims space in the back up archive by immediately applying file selection or retention policy changes (such as how many versions to keep and how long to keep deleted files). fInternet addressInternal and external address of the destination computer.

Folder Destinations

dpathPath identifying the destination folder.
eClick the folder icon to change the destination folder.
fDeleteCompletely removes this folder as a destination. Backup data on this folder is deleted.
