Removing a Client Destination (PRO Server)

Overview

On the user's computer page, you can remove a destination for a single user. An admin would remove a client destination to:

  • manage the archive size on a server
  • force a client to back up to a specific destination, such as a newly available slave destination

Considerations

  • Removing a destination is a destructive operation resulting in the removal of the backup archive for the selected client on that destination.
  • If you want to remove a destination for an organization (or child organization) use the Default User Settings command.

How It Works

  1. In the organization in which the client resides, select the user whose destination you want to remove.
  2. On the user page, select the computer whose destination you want to remove.
  3. In the list of destinations, click the Remove check box for the destination you want to remove.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Confirm that you want to remove this destination.
