Customize Reports and Alerts

Overview

Use the Customize Alerts / Reports command to edit the text in the templates for the alerts and warning messages. In addition, use this command to edit the text and appearance of the Admin and User Backup Status Reports.

Before You Begin

You'll need to be familiar with the following concepts to edit alerts and reports:

  • Basic HMTL editing

How It Works

  1. On the navigation menu, click Customize Alerts / Reports. Screen Details
    Edit Templates
  2. Choose the template that you want to edit from the list of available templates.
    Check the Exclude Customized Versions box, if you want to display only unchanged templates.
    Here are the templates that you can customize.
  3. Edit the Address, Subject and Template Text area as you wish.

  4. Click Preview to update the display and verify your changes.
  5. Click Save.
    Undo your changes, click Cancel.

Other Options

  • Use the options on the Mail Settings page to change the “From” address for all reports and alerts, so that all alerts and report messages from CrashPlan PRO will appear to come from whatever email address you specify.
