Priority Backup

Overview

CrashPlan PRO prioritizes files for backup so that your newest and most recently changed files (the files you’re working on NOW) are backed up first.

CrashPlan PRO also prioritizes backup activity to ensure all your selected files are completely backed up at one location before starting backup to another destination. To accomplish this, CrashPlan PRO determines which destination will complete first and then backs up to that location. Once backup to this destination completes, CrashPlan PRO backs up to the next-fastest location.

For example, if you are backing up to a local folder and across the Internet to a PRO Server, CrashPlan PRO completes backing up to the local folder before backing up to the PRO Server.

Benefits

  • The newest and most recently changed files, and therefore the ones that are the most important to you, are backed up first.
  • You are completely protected at one destination as soon as possible.
  • Backups to multiple destinations are processed as efficiently as possible by focusing on one destination at a time.
